Saying thanks to our mums

Previously the Chelsea Children’s Hospital Charity, we re-launched as The Children’s Surgery Foundation in 2019 to reflect the national scope of our work today. The story below is from our days as the Chelsea Children’s Hospital Charity.

On Mother’s Day last year, our charity organised gifts for the inspiring and loving mums whose children are patients at Chelsea Children’s Hospital. To ensure that the mums weren’t forgotten on Mother’s Day, we gave them gift bags filled with luxury toiletries generously donated by high-end cosmetic brands including Kiel’s and Elemis.

Rebecca McLoughlin from Chelsea Children’s Hospital Charity said:

“Having been through the experience of having a child ill in hospital myself, I know how difficult it can be to make time for yourself. We hope that our Mother’s Day gifts give the mums an opportunity to take a little time out.”
